Sound: Vibrations
of an object.
Pitch: The
relative highness or lowness of a sound.
Tone: a sound that has a definite
pitch or frequency of beats per second.
Interval: the distance in vibrations between
any two tones
A: a
large interval a large distance in vibrations
ex. 100 beats per second to 2000 beats per second
or a large distance between piano keys
B: a
small interval is a small distance between two piano keys
Octave:
interval
between two tones in which the higher tone has twice the
frequency than the lower tone.

Crescendo: music
that gradually gets loud.
Decrescendo: music that gradually gets
soft

And another octave = 1760
All vibrations sound higher when the speed goes
faster
and lower when the speed goes
slower
Amount of
Vibrations the Human Ear can hear
up to= 20,000
to 25,000 beats per second
Dog,
Whistle = 40,000 beats per second
Humans can't hear a dog whistle because it beyond the human range of
hearing.

are music terms that are used to describe what is
going on in a piece of music.
They are:
1. Tone Colors (instruments that are used in
the song)
2. Dynamics (loud and soft)
3. What is being expressed in the song. Ex. love, anger, etc.
4. Where the song takes place. Ex. Wedding,
club etc.
